10 You are in your seat at the start of the performance. (There is not seating while the music is in progress.)
9. You hold your applause until the end of the entire piece, avoiding embarrassing moments when no one else claps.
8. You turn off all pagers, cellular phones, and alarm watches before entering the concert hall.
7. You leave all cameras and recording devices at home because flashes are a distraction to the musicians and recording is prohibited.
6. You go easy with the scents because you realize many people are highly allergic to perfume and cologne.
5. You unwrap all candy and cough drops before the performance to avoid any disruptive noise.
4. You certainly bring your kids, because all kids love new experiences. But you make sure that beforehand they act respectful to others.
3. For those in Love: You refrain from putting your head on your partner’s shoulder because you know it’s blocking the view of those behind you.
2. You do not leave until the end of the performance because you know this is discourteous to the musicians.
1. You do not talk, hum, sing, tap, or conduct with any body part during the performance.
